Playboy Model Jenny McCarthy Admits to Stealing a Precious Item from Pope Francis: ‘My Mom Scolded Me’

BTN News: Jenny McCarthy, the former Playboy model, is well known for her looks and famous relationships. Recently, she shared a surprising story. During an interview on Kelly Ripa’s show, “Let’s Talk Off Camera,” McCarthy talked about an amazing experience. She visited the Vatican late at night and took a rosary from Pope Francis’ room.

McCarthy said she went to the Pope’s apartment during a trip to Italy. She was invited to a party for glasses and got a chance to see the Pope’s home, even though he was not there. She said yes and had an exciting adventure. She recalled, “We went to the Vatican at midnight, walked through the halls, and reached the Pope’s room. I even tried on his hat! It was unreal.”

The story became even more interesting when she returned to her hotel room. A friend who was with her handed her a rosary and said it was for McCarthy’s mother, who is very religious. The friend admitted to taking the rosary from the Pope’s room. McCarthy explained, “When we got back to the hotel, my friend said, ‘I know your mom loves the Pope, so I took something for her.’”

Her mother was not happy about the rosary. When she received it, she told McCarthy that taking it was wrong. McCarthy clarified that her friend took the rosary, not her. She said, “My mom told me I did something wrong. She said, ‘You know what you did was not right.’”

Jenny McCarthy was born on November 1, 1972, in Evergreen Park, a suburb of Chicago. She grew up in a Catholic family. She went to Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, where she first posed for Playboy in her school uniform. Hugh Hefner, the Playboy founder, chose her from 10,000 applicants because she looked like a “healthy Catholic girl.”

Her faith has been important to her life and love. She says it helped her meet her husband, Donnie Wahlberg. He was in New Kids on the Block and is the brother of actor Mark Wahlberg. Talking about her past relationships and her faith journey, McCarthy said, “After many bad relationships, I turned to my faith to find the right partner. I have always believed in getting better as a person. One day, I thought, ‘I want someone who respects me and lets me focus on myself.’”

She continued, “I decided if I made myself better, I would find better people. I prayed to God, saying, ‘Don’t send me an incomplete man. I want to be a whole person myself.’ I was not looking for anyone when I met Donnie, but it took me a year to understand why I made bad choices in love. It was about loving myself and knowing I was good enough.”

Jenny McCarthy’s story about her visit to the Vatican and her thoughts on love and faith show how she stays true to her beliefs and keeps growing as a person.
