BTN News: Aurora Carbonell became famous in the late 90s and early 2000s for her role as Yasmina in “Al salir de clase.” After the show ended in July 2002, she continued acting in many TV shows like “Hospital Central,” “El comisario,” “Los misterios de Laura,” “Cuéntame cómo pasó,” and “El secreto de Puente Viejo.” However, she disappeared from the public eye in recent years due to serious health issues she has now shared with her fans.
Aurora revealed her long struggle in a heartfelt video and post. She said, “For over 8 years, I tried to figure out what was wrong with me. Many days were just about surviving because my body wasn’t working right. My face would swell and change shape for no reason, my skin was scaly, and I had unbearable joint pain, iron deficiency, heavy metal poisoning, food intolerances, bacterial infections, intestinal problems, and my immune system was all over the place.” Even though these problems were hard to deal with, Aurora now feels much better. She shared photos from her painful journey to inspire others.
At 48, Aurora looks forward to the future with hope. She talked about how she faced medical mistakes and personal losses during her struggle. “I was wrongly diagnosed with a heart condition for a year. The day after this diagnosis, my dear friend Borja, who had a similar condition, died from a heart attack. You can imagine my fear every night. Luckily, I got a second opinion and found out I didn’t have the condition. These years were about healing and taking care of my wonderful parents who stood by me.”
Aurora’s nightmare is over, and she has adopted a healthier lifestyle. “Now I take care of myself by eating right, exercising, surrounding myself with good people, and waking up each day with great joy. Life is also about these moments. Thank you for your messages.” Fellow actress Carmen Morales, among others, has shown support, saying, “Stay strong, my love. You can handle anything! You’re so brave and beautiful!” Lolita expressed her relief, “I had no idea. I’m glad you’re better now. You’re strong and will get through this. Sending you a big hug.” Elena Furiase also sent her love, “Aurora, all my heart to you!”
Aurora Carbonell’s story is one of strength and hope. By sharing her experience, she aims to help others who are facing similar struggles.
