When a huge brand in the world wants to collaborate with some demure and fine man, the first name that falls on the table is that of David Beckham. The Englishman has well earned his fame and now that he has become a businessman, his profile is not only very high, but also soaring. For that simple reason it was that Maserati sought him out to present the new MC20 model whose great innovation is to allow the buyer to be able to design the base assembly to his liking.
David Beckham had the luxury of customizing the new Maseratti to his own taste and ended up getting a pearl of a car. The point is that, although the Englishman is retired from football, his passion for the sport is still above many things. For this reason, he took advantage of the opportunity and ended up being inspired by the football club that belongs to him and that is how the Maserati MC20 Fuoriserie Edition.
The colors and design were made in homage to the city of Miami, as a thank you for being the city that allowed him to undertake his great dream of running a professional football club. That’s right, this was the place where he founded the team that belongs to him and that plays in the United States MLS, the Inter-Miami.
The Maserati lettering on the rear is also opaque, while the MC20 badge on the door is pastel pink, as a nod to the crest of its football team, as are the Brembo brake calipers. Inside, it has a new V6 biturbo V-cylinder petrol engine with Formula 1 technology, called Neptune.
It has up to 630 horsepower and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of more than 325 km/hthanks to the fact that it achieves the perfect balance with the car, due to a weight of less than 1,500 kg that makes the MC20 a very light supercar.
