Bright Times News: Rondeau was arrested in February, and Shanna Moakler stated that she wants the Los Angeles city attorney to dismiss the misdemeanor domestic abuse and vandalism charges against him.

Monday’s pre-trial hearing saw Rondeau enter a not guilty plea to all of the accusations.

Rondeau was contacted by PEOPLE for comment, but no response was received right away. A request for comment from PEOPLE was also not quickly answered by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office.

Moakler, for her part, said on Monday that she will not be filing any charges against Rondeau and that she is “hoping the city attorney respects my requests and drops everything as well.”

According to a statement he provided, Rondeau said that he hasn’t “even spoken or made a comment” because he is “so heartbroken and disgusted with the narrative the media has depicted me as.”

“I pray that the city of LA allows me to show them they made the right choice on dropping all charges against me,” Rondeau said in the statement, though the charges have not yet been dropped. “I am a wonderful human being, a fantastic song, and a very honorable and loving partner.”

Authorities verified to PEOPLE on February 24 that Rondeau, 28, was apprehended at 7:40 a.m. in the Los Angeles region. At the time, Rondeau was accused of felony domestic abuse, and his bail was set at $50,000.

Rondeau claimed in an inflammatory video that Moakler had cheated on him and spent the night at her neighbor’s house just before the arrest. An enraged Rondeau could be seen discussing what reportedly transpired between him and Moakler the previous evening in the video, which was released by.

Rondeau made other derogatory comments about Moakler in the video and claimed that their relationship was over. He also said that he was not drinking or using drugs at the time.

Moakler later spoke out about the incident via a statement shared with PEOPLE by her rep. “I wanted to let everybody know that I’m okay and thank you for your love and support,” read the statement. “I’m surrounded by my family and friends.”

Since 2020, Moakler and Rondeau have had an intermittent relationship. The couple’s breakup was revealed by PEOPLE in July of last year. Months later, the two restarted their relationship, and they later revealed that they had been spotted together ever since Rondeau was arrested.
