Bright Times News: Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, spoke. The Chief Minister assured a job to the family of Kanhaiya Lal Teli, a garment maker in Udaipur. The two sons of the deceased got government jobs just like that. Gehlot’s cabinet decided to change the rules.
Until now, it was the rule in Rajasthan to give a job to one of the family members of the deceased. As promised by the Chief Minister, it was necessary to change the rules to give jobs to the sons of Kanhaiya Lal Teli, who was killed in Udaipur. Wednesday saw the Gehlot cabinet meeting.
There, the regulations were altered to grant employment to the deceased person’s two sons. When the proposal was accepted, there was no obstacle for Kanhaiya Lal’s two sons Yash and Tarun Kumar to get government jobs. However, it is not clear in which department of the government the two sons of the deceased will be given jobs.
Kanhaiya Lal Teli, a resident of Bhima town, was killed by two miscreants in broad daylight in Udaipur, Rajasthan on June 26. Kanhaiya Lal allegedly tweeted in support of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s controversial remarks about Nabi. Ghouse Mohammad and Riaz Akhtar, the two main accused in the case, confessed to the murder. Protests started across Rajasthan in protest of the incident.
Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, paid a visit to Kanhaiya Lal’s family on June 30, three days after the tragedy. The state’s message to the populace was to support the family. The Chief Minister handed over a check of Tk 51 lakh to the family as financial compensation along with the government jobs of the two sons of the deceased. For nearly 30 minutes, Ashok Gehlot spoke with the deceased person’s relatives.
Kanhaiya Lal’s son Yash told the media that the Rajasthan government is by their side. He also admitted that the Chief Minister had promised him a government job along with financial compensation. The Rajasthan government has given jobs to the two boys as promised.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan government has ordered the transfer of 32 police officers in Udaipur-scandal on charges of negligence of duty. Several organizations have also called for the accused’s execution at the same time. A Rajasthan court has remanded accused Ghouse Mohammad and Riaz Akhtar in police custody till July 13.
