Jio is again best in terms of download speed

But Vodafone Idea is at the top in terms of upload speed. The telecom company’s customers got an average upload speed of 7.8 Mbps in June. Right behind is Reliance Jio. The company’s customers received an average upload speed of 7.2 Mbps last month.

Number three Airtel customers got an average upload speed of 5.8 Mbps in June. BSNL is fourth in the list with a 4.3 Mbps upload speed. Incidentally, even though Airtel, Jio, and Vi use 4G networks across the country, BSNL customers still get access to 3G networks.

BSNL’s average upload speed dropped significantly in June compared to May. The average speed was 5 Mbps in May but dropped to 4.3 Mbps in June.

Although this report published by TRAI has raised questions about how transparent the image of India’s telecom world is. Companies like Ookla and Opensignal also publish average upload and download speeds of various networks in India. Which is sometimes different from the report published by TRAI.

Meanwhile, Jio’s active subscriber base declined to 37.88 crores from 37.89 crores in April this year. In other words, the company in Mumbai has lost about 1 lakh, active customers, in a month. TRAI said 16 lakh new customers started using Jio during this period. Although new customers joined the network, the company’s total number of active customers decreased.
