BTN News: In today’s digital age, social media platforms like Instagram play a significant role in our social interactions, and many users are keenly aware of their follower counts and the types of profiles that choose to follow them. It’s not uncommon for people to be curious about who exactly is following them—and perhaps more importantly, who has stopped following them. This interest is particularly relevant as some profiles may be fake or simply follow others to gain a follow back, only to unfollow them later. Keeping track of these changes can be tedious, especially if you have a large following. Fortunately, with the advancement of technology, specifically artificial intelligence, there’s a way to simplify this process and easily find out who has unfollowed you on Instagram.
To begin, accessing this information requires a few steps within the Instagram app itself. Start by navigating to your profile, which can be done by clicking on the circle icon at the bottom right corner of the screen. Once on your profile, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner to access ‘Settings and activity.’ From there, select ‘Account Center’ and scroll down until you see ‘Your information and permissions.’ Here, you’ll want to click on ‘Download your information,’ then tap on ‘Scheduled’ followed by ‘Part of your information.’ At this stage, choose the ‘Followers and Following’ option and select the date range you want to analyze.
Once you’ve completed these steps, Instagram will prepare the requested data and send the files to your device. You’ll receive two key documents: one labeled ‘Followers’ and the other ‘Followings.’ These files contain the lists of people who follow you and the people you follow, respectively.
The next step is to utilize an AI tool, such as Bing’s AI, to help compare these lists efficiently. Send a message to the AI along the lines of, “I’m going to provide two lists—one of the accounts I follow and another of those who follow me back. Could you please identify which accounts I follow that do not follow me back?”
After this, copy and paste the contents of the ‘Followers’ document into the chat with the AI, specifying that these are the users who follow you. Then, repeat the process with the ‘Following’ list. The AI will then process the data and generate a list of the accounts you follow that aren’t following you back.
It’s important to note that you can’t directly share the links to these files with the AI, as it won’t be able to interpret the content from the links alone. Therefore, copying and pasting the actual lists is necessary for accurate results.
By following these steps, you can save yourself considerable time and effort, as the AI will quickly provide a clear and concise list of accounts that you follow but who aren’t following you back. This can be especially useful if you’re trying to manage your follower-to-following ratio, or simply if you want to know which accounts might have lost interest in your content. With AI’s help, staying on top of your Instagram followers has never been easier.
