An elderly woman died from an electric shock while sweeping water from her balcony in Guadalupe Victoria, Tampico. This happened 300 meters from the Pánuco River, which divides Tamaulipas and Veracruz. There were also crocodile sightings in areas like Miramapolis, near Miramar Beach, and neighborhoods like Heriberto Kehoe, Unidad Nacional, and Las Flores.

Local Authorities Respond Quickly to Floods

Local authorities acted quickly to handle the floods. Pedro Romero Sánchez, the head of Municipal Civil Protection, said teams were sent to clean up affected areas, including Laguna del Carpintero park. Mayor Chucho Nader ordered efforts to help the people and reduce the flood impact.

IMSS Hospital Basement Flooded But Services Continue

Heavy rains flooded the basement of Regional Hospital No. 6 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Ciudad Madero. Even with the flood, the hospital continued its work.
