BTN News: As a part of investing heavily in its AI-powered capabilities, Google has now officially launched the Gemini app in India. The app – first introduced in the US earlier this year – uses Google’s new Large Language Models (LLMs), called Gemini. The company’s Indian CEO Sundar Pichai announced the expansion, stating that the app is available in English and 9 Indian languages.
Gemini App Allocations and Features
Gemini app for Google, which was launched last month is now live on Google Play Store, after releasing for iOS last month in India. It supports in total of 10 languages which are English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Gemini can either be downloaded as a separate app or selected through Google Assistant to get conversational AI chatbot functionalities.
Gemini Advanced Upgrades
In addition to the app launch, Google announced improvements to Gemini Advanced, which can be had via the Google One subscription. The updated version of ana-gramnova now also supports Gemini 1.5 Pro in the respective Indian Languages, and in English. Importantly, Gemini Advanced supports large datasets: long documents, emails, and generates insights based on the content’s context.
Weaving with Google Messages
Gemini was also linked to Google Messages for Indian users, allowing them to chat with the AI chatbot right in the conversation. With this, WhatsApp has extended the feature that was already available outside India to these Android devices with 6GB RAM and above for a super engaged messaging platform.
Privacy and Functionality
Google stresses that file uploads for Gemini Advanced are kept private and no user-uploaded files are used to train AI models. This pledge is designed to give assurance to the users that their data will remain private while they use AI for increased productivity and understanding.
Conclusion
Google Gemini will allow access to its broader accessibility and capabilities in India, making it the first of its kind bot to integrate advanced AI technologies across multiple linguistic domains. As we can see with multi-language support, Google is serious when it comes to the global availability and utility of Flutter.
