Bright Times News: The Trump family was out in force at Ivana Trump’s funeral mass on Wednesday afternoon, who died on July 14 at the age of 73?

In the Upper East Side of Manhattan’s St. Vincent Ferrer Church, over 400 friends and family members gathered to pay respect to the dynamic athlete, model, and businesswoman who placed family achievement above all else. The speakers at the two-hour-plus ceremonial funeral mass ranged from serene to amusing, but the street-front scene was far more chaotic.

The New York Police Department installed metal barricades to impede vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the adjacent blocks hours before guests arrived. Dozens of photographers, cameramen, and media personnel were stationed on a few flatbed trucks on Lexington Avenue’s west side, across from the main entrance of the Catholic church.

Trump was inextricably attached to her second husband, Donald, despite being married four times and overcoming the challenges of being a trailblazing female executive and a loving but demanding mother.

The former president, though, was strangely silent on Wednesday at the funeral of his late ex-wife, allowing the tributes to their three children, Eric, Ivanka, and Donald Jr., to speak for themselves. The family procession and the pallbearers left the church before “The Donald,” as Ivana Trump termed him, entered from the wing.

Barron Trump, Tiffany, and her fiancé Michael Boulos all shared a seat with him and Melania Trump. Agents from the Secret Service stood guard nearby. Eric Trump, his wife Lara, and their two children sat in the church’s front pews, as did Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner, and their two sons, and Donald Jr.

His ex-wife Vanessa and their children, as well as his current girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, were present. The Trump children were more concerned with their mother’s tenacity, determination, and zest for life than with the blended American family.

Unless you count Donald Trump Jr.’s belief in the benefits of a good parental spanking as a hot-button issue, the funeral was largely apolitical, in keeping with the priest’s opening warning that the day was not one for publicity, politics, and photographs.
