Disturbing Video Shows Security Guard Kidnapped and Threatened in Amalfi by Notorious Criminal Alias ‘El Enano’

BTN News: A disturbing video that has been circulating on social media has left the Antioquian community in shock and fear. The footage shows a man lying on the ground, visibly terrified, pleading for his life while another man, masked and wearing a uniform, points a gun at him. According to official reports, the victim is a security guard who was kidnapped by the criminal group known as “Libertadores del Nordeste,” a faction led by Eusebio de Jesús Agudelo, infamously known as alias “El Enano.” Agudelo is a dangerous criminal who escaped from La Picota prison just last June.

In the harrowing video, the desperate guard can be heard crying out, “My God, help me! Why do they involve someone in these problems? These are your problems!” His voice quivers as he begs for mercy, emphasizing that he should not be dragged into issues that are not his own. The armed man, showing no signs of compassion, commands the person recording the video to “make one last call” to the individual they intend to extort.

The sheer brutality and coldness displayed in the video had many fearing the worst outcome for the kidnapped security guard. However, there was a twist of fate. Thanks to swift action by the Antioquia Police, the man was rescued and safely released. The authorities explained that the liberation was a result of a rapid response by the police and the mounting pressure they placed on the kidnappers. The criminal organization behind this heinous act, the self-proclaimed “Libertadores de Colombia,” has been identified as the group responsible.

Andrés Julián Rendón, the governor of Antioquia, did not hold back when he shared the chilling video on social media. He confirmed that the masked man seen in the footage is indeed alias “El Enano,” a notorious criminal with a long history of violence. Rendón highlighted the gravity of the situation, revealing that the security guard had been abducted and tortured for refusing to pay extortion money. In a determined move to bring the criminal to justice, the governor announced a reward of up to 400 million pesos for information leading to the capture of alias “El Enano.” He also assured the public that the security forces are actively conducting operations in the area to apprehend this dangerous individual.

This incident sheds light on the pervasive issue of extortion and kidnapping in rural areas like Amalfi, where criminal groups such as the Libertadores del Nordeste exploit fear to assert control. The actions of these criminals have left a community in terror, but the response from the police and the government offers a glimmer of hope. The swift liberation of the security guard serves as a reminder of the importance of decisive action in the face of such threats.

The ongoing search for alias “El Enano” and his accomplices remains a top priority for the authorities. The reward offered by Governor Rendón underlines the urgency of capturing these criminals and restoring a sense of security to the affected regions. As the Antioquian community rallies together, the hope is that justice will prevail, and that those responsible for this horrific crime will be brought to justice swiftly.
