Big Explosion at Chemical Factory in Tlalnepantla Injures Four People

BTN News: A big blast happened at the Simbiotik chemical plant in San Jerónimo Tepetlacalco, Tlalnepantla. Four people got hurt, including three workers and a police officer. They mostly got burns. People living nearby had to leave their homes as a safety step.

Emergency Teams Quickly Respond and Evacuate Workers from the Site

Emergency teams, including Civil Protection, firefighters, and police, quickly went to the place. Workers from the local prosecutor’s office also came to do some tasks at the plant. Many workers had to leave the site.

Fire Caused by Explosion Quickly Controlled by Firefighters

The blast made a fire, but the firefighters controlled it. The explosion was so strong that part of the metal roof fell, and metal pieces flew outside the factory.

Injured Workers Taken to Hospital with Serious Burns and Wounds

One worker got burns on most of his body, and another had bleeding wounds. Paramedics took the hurt people to the emergency room at the IMSS Traumatology Hospital in Lomas Verdes, Naucalpan. We do not know how they are doing now.

Families Return Home After Precautionary Evacuation

Families living on Flavio Zabala Street had to leave their homes for safety. They are now going back to their homes. The Tlalnepantla prosecutor’s office is looking into why the accident happened.
