New Technologies Make the Chip More Efficient

Samsung used new technologies like Fan-Out Panel Level Packaging (FOPLP) and Integrated Package in Package (iPIP) to make the chip work better and save power. The Exynos W1000 also has a 2.5D Always on Display (AoD) for better watch faces. It has Bluetooth LE for audio and LPDDR5 RAM for saving power. It can connect to 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, and NFC.

Longer Battery Life for More Use Time

Samsung Competes Strongly with Apple in the Smartwatch Market

Samsung’s new chip comes after Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in 2023. These watches have better speed and performance. Apple is also said to be working on a special tenth-anniversary watch, the Apple Watch X or Series 10. This watch may have a bigger screen and a thinner case.

Samsung’s new Exynos W1000 chip is a big step to compete with Apple’s new watches.
